Cockatiel lost it's voice???

My cockatiel this morning could not whistle or make noises like usual. Seemed like he/she lost it's voice. What could this be?

Hi Mari. How old is he and how long have you had him? Have there been any other changes in his behavior? Have you seen any changes in the appearance of the droppings?
