My lutino cockatiel has red eyes. I have noticed that they look cloudy and slightly white in the middle of her eyes. It has been this way for awhile and has not gone away. She is normal in everyother respect.

Hello. Are you saying that she has red around her eyes, meaning red in her eyelids and surrounding tissue or are you referring to the actual eyes themselves? How long have you had your bird and what do you mean by "awhile"? Do you know for sure that 5 years is her real age? How long ago did you first notice it? Can you see the cloudy look all the time or only when she is in bright light? Have you noticed any changes in any of her behavior and have you noticed any change in the appearance of her droppings? Please describe her dailey diet for me. This extra information will help me give you my best advice and suggestions. Thanks, Patricia

Reply to Patricia's Post: We know she is five for a fact. Her eyes have always been a red color.There is no redness around the eyes. The cloudyness in the middle of her eyes has been there for several months. YOu can see it when she is in the light and not in the light. She eats seeds, kaytee fiesta brand. She will have rice and oatmeal on occassion. Her behavior is completly normal. Her poop is completly normal as well.
