It is very likely your bird is egg bound. That is a life threatening emergency. Do you have a qualified avian vet with 24/7 emergency clinic services? Do not try to handle her right now. If it's what I suspect, you risk causing the egg to rupture inside of her. As the situation progresses, you will probably see her go to the bottom of the cage. If it continues she will begin to be unbalanced and may have trouble staying on her feet. The egg will start pressing on nerves. You need to make sure she does not get chilled. I suggest covering the top and three sides of the cage and keep her as quiet and stress free as possible. If you can locate someone so you can get her right in, place her ever so gently in a carrier with plenty of soft padding. Don't risk rupturing that egg inside of her. I hope you can get her some help right away. If you have further questions, don't hesitate to ask. I'll be on line for awhile. Patricia
