I have a cockatiel who was egg bound last year. I had the egg removed by the vet. It's been a few months now and I had though she might be egg bound again. However, she eats like a horse, seems in good spirits, and constantly mates with her partner. I had breeding box in the cage but no eggs. She has a noticible buldge in her stomach. Is it possible that she is just overweight and not eggbound again? It has been a few months like this. Honestly, I can't afford the surgery again and was hoping that nature would take it's course with her. thank you for your advice.
