I just saved a betta from certain death. When I found him he was sitting in a 1/2 gal. bowl filled half full of rocks. The water is orange brown and had about a months worth of food sitting on the floor of the bowl. I immediately moved him to fresh treated water and told his "family" that I was taking him to the fishy ICU. I have placed him in a gallon bowl with 1 tsp aquarium salt and .5cc(ml) of Melafix. I found him on Friday and it is now Sunday and he is still surviving. He has no appetite and his fins are falling off. I just started the Melafix today. He was just too weak to take it any sooner. I need to know what else I should be doing or if I should stop what I'm doing and do something else. He physically looks better. He no longer has the white stringy stuff on him and all the really torn fins are coming off. What do you suggest next? He is in an empty bowl with a cloth loosely draped over it so he isn't disturbed to much. The temp is approx. high 70's to low 80's

Optional Information:
Age: <1; Male; Breed: betta

Already Tried:
bigger bowl treated with stress coat and 1tsp aquaruim salt temp in bowl approx. Hi 70's to low 80's bowl is covered loosely with a cloth to reduce stress and light. Started Melafix today .5cc(ml)
