I HAVE A 55 GALLON AQUARIUM. THE ONLY SPECIES OF FISH IN IT IS OF THE SMALL TETRA VARIETY. I HAVE BOUGHT SEVERAL SPECIES OF SNAILS FROM DIFFERENT PET STORES IN MY AREA,FOR THE AQUARIUM, BUT NONE SEEM TO LIVE MORE THAN A FEW DAYS. WHY CAN'T KEEP SNAILS ALIVE IN MY TANK? THE FISH DO NOT BOTHER THE SNAILS AT ALL. WHICH SPECIES OF SNAILS DO YOU THINK IS THE MOST HARDY?

When you bring the snail home, how do you introduce it to your tank?

Have you tried the apple snail?
