Question

Cassie and healthy pups

Sent to Pet Experts February 07, 2005 11:11 p.m.

My austrailian sheperd dog Cassie is expecting a litter but my mom cannot feel any puppies like usual. Could there be a problem? Also, this will be the first delivery where anybody will be at home to help her deliver. Is there anuthing I can do to help her or make her more comfortable? Thank you for your time, Emily

She has been pregnant for five to six weeks, she is six years old, and yes. Lately she has not been eating well, but she may be getting food from our neighbors house. Also, today, in fact, she was panting, her stomach was tight,...etc. Could this be signs of early labor? Thank you again, Emily

P.S. Behavior: beating up our other two dogs, a puppy and an older dog.
Bathroom: Not sure; she is an outside dog and we have other animals so I have no way to tell.

I have spent 8 years in the dog world, studying health, behavior, and training, esp aggression.
