Please help concerned animal lover....

HI I recently answered an ad in the paper for free kittens and I got one! She is a female 8 week old kitten and im concerned something may be wrong with her I’ve only had her for a few hours but she has a small sore on her anus and when she goes into the litter pan she doesn’t seem to be able to pass a stole and cries, when I first brought her home she wasn’t interested in eating or drinking but I got her to eat some soft kitten chow... Also her eyes seem a bit red around the eyes and I noticed on the mother cat she also looked that way... Not sure if this is just a kitten thing of if something seriously might be wrong with my new pet.. Please let me know as soon as possible sincerely Courtney.
