I found a dog in Florida this morning with a Tennessee Dept. of health Rabies tag. Tag # 486119. Any way to track the owner down via this tag number?????

Reply to Tammy Falkner's Post: Thank you, Will check with my vet in the am, but there is no vet info on the dogs tag. Only the Tennessee Rabies Id # 486119.
Hope my vet can help, if not Animal Control will get him by noon.

Your vet should be able to contact the state vet in Tennesse that they issue the numbers too... They should be able to tell your vet what clinic had that lot of numbers...like 486000-488000. Then the vet clinic is called and they look up that individual number!!
