well ,i have an 11 year old son who plays very rough; and one day he was playing with her an my husband came home and when he walked in my son had her in the air like he was going to body slam her- well, he did..... (at the time iwas very ill in bed sleeping)the next morning i woke up and usually mimi (my dog) wakes me up. so when i woke up i realize she was not there to wake me, so i called out her name several times an i got no responce.so i immediately get up to look for her. i went to the living room called her name again and i heard her cry very low from under the couch. i looked down and she was there but she looked stuck so ireached under and pulled her out and then walked away calling her to come with me to the room,i looked back and she attempted to get up an walk but fell over it seemed to be her back legs were completely lim so i picked her up took her to my bed and tried to stand her up on all 4, she fell again. so i picked her up and i guess when i picked her up some thing must have popped out of place; because in the 4 years that i've had her never once has she tried to bite me. anyways she screamed almost human-like and bit me at the same time crying like never before. i then started to cry because i felt her pain. as if it were me. i waited for her to relax, an then i questioned my son and husband.n thats when my husband explained what he saw (the body slam) then myson told me his side. he said he was playing with her and she ran under the couch to hide from him. an then he ran an jumped on the couch(futon couches) he said when he landed he heard a loud sound like the couch broke he was scared so he didnt tell anyone. but when that happened mimi was under the couch... he tried calling her and she didnt come so he thought she was just scared from the sound too, thats why she wouldnt come out.at this point i thought maybe taking a wrm bath might help her feel alittle better! well the shower didnt last very long before she started to cry. so i got out quick dried her off gentley and layed her down next to me covered her up an started to call people to find out how much? whats wrong? will she be alright? ect. at the time we were being evicted and we had no money what so ever!!!! at this point im so sad, & depressed!!! i noticed that she was soaked an it smelled like urine. so i change her blanket. about 15-20 minutes later she was soaked again; this time i got a plastic bag & some paper towels to make a diaper for her. i also noticed her breathing deep and hard like she was trying to catch her breath but couldnt. that night i slept on the floor next to her in case she starts crying and i cant hear her or whatever may happen, i will be right there next to her. that night she did wake up and try to move her self closer to me i assume because she was cold? when i put my arm over her i felt her tempurature; she felt like an ice cube. the next day i had to go to work for a few hours. when i got back home i rushed in to see how she was doing- when i saw her it broke my heart (i cried) becaused she looked liked she hadnt eaten in weeks. i felt her temp again she still felt like an ice cube. i didnt know what to do so i wrapped her up carried her on a pillow to the car and i drove to every animal hospital, shelter,& clinic that i could find. finally we found a place that was about to close an i rushed inside crying with mimi in my arms and i said to the nurse please help me!!!!!!!! doctor agreed to take a look at her. i was very greatful that he did. but after he looked at her he said she was going to need ex-rays before anything and after the ex-rays depending on what he saw she will need medication, surgery, ect. and it will total up to be about 950.00 to 1,500 i told him i was broke but ill do anything for her!! he saidthe only thing he could do without taking ex-rays & surgery, he couldprescribe some pain pills, antibiotics,and some special food for her to eat(the food had vitamins & minerals)he also gave her a shot that was supposed to help her feel better.and he told me that would only temporarly help her until i could try to get some money together to pay for every thing . when i got home i tried to feed her with the suringe and i gave her the other stuff . that night she woke up sweating (hot) breathing hard, making a sound that sounded so painful to her . so i gave her some water with the suringe, changed her diaper, and she seemed to be fine the rest of the night. the next day she was alittle better until that night came then she had a fever again,gasping for air, & i noticed that her eyes got bigger,an she had not gone poopoo since it happened. both her and myself are crying not knowing what to do, and even if i knew i didnt have the money for it.later on the next evening my husband left with the car and was'nt going to be gone long he said. about 20 minutes after he left she started to breathe funny . my son called me in the room and said she is really gasping for air like something was chokeing her itried giving her water, &petting her so she could calm down. but she didnt she just started breathing even harder i got so scared because the car was gone i had no way of getting her any where, and no money. i called ashelter that was 24 hours to see if they knew of any emergency hospitals or any thing. they couldnt help either!! when i hung up the phone i layed down with her crying, an i looked up at her and she took 2 deep but short breathes i looked downat her diaper and isaw red it was blood. i screamed for help my son ran outside looking for help.... by this time she had took her very last breathe. i seen her pupils diolate big & small and i knew she was gone. i know i probably explained more than was needed to explain. but i hope that it gives you a better feel of what could have possibly gone wrong to take my babies life????? please help me solve this so i can let her rip! and i wont constantly boggle my mind every day trying to figure it out.
