we have wood floors in the house we just bought, it wouldnt really be a problem except the fact that there those fake plastic ones. I want a pet-BADLY- but my mom is worried about scratches on the floor, and holes in the leather couch- the brand-new one! What should I do?

P.S: I absolutely adore animals, and most of my best friends are animals. Like Zoober, my Baby Bear, and Mo-Mo. I play with them all-day every day, but now that were moving Iv'e gotten relly depressed about never seing any of my friends- or animal friends- again.
