My boxer who is 8 has just been diagnosed with megaesphogus. I cannot accept the fact that there is nothing I can do and that he will die of aspiration. I am now feeding him while he stands at a 45 degree angle. I am looking to find a specalist or more information on this disease. Is there any thing I can do in the meantime for him to make him comfortable. He still has plenty of spark in him. am waiting for the result of his thyroid and was told that if that is it the meds may slow it down a bit. Is that true. Thank you for your help as I am very desperately looking for any answers of the terrible disease.
