Sent to Pet Experts June 08, 2006 2:02 p.m.

I recently rescued a horse at auction. He is very emaciated, runny nose and eyes. He at first had very loose stools but is normal consistency now.He is eating well and acts normal. He has an open sore on his shoulder aove withers. Visually a small pink site with seeping pus mixed with blood. There was also same type of wound/sore on other side of his neck but up much higher, mid neck, which is healed shut now. Would you have any possible geusses as to his probiable causes of his sores? One of the guys that brought him to the auction said that he had been very sick and almost died.
