I have a small bantam pullet who is eggbound.. I've tried to manipulate the egg... I probed her with mineral oil, I think there is a membrane between my finger and the egg.. where do I go from here.. I have felt this egg inside her for at least a couple weeks.. she's bright /eating and not in stress in anyway. I cannot "see" the egg at all when I push it towards her vent. Any suggestions?

Optional Information:
Age: <1; Female; Breed: serama bantam

Hello........

You must rub the stomach area, going with the feathers, going in one direction only, towards the vent gently but firm pressure. Like you would do with a baby that has gas, this can take a while.......Tonya

Hello......

There are very few options as to what to do other then taking the animal to a vet.

In most case's this can kill the bird and I am sure that is not what you are looking for to happen.

There is the option on rupturing the egg but it is not recommended to be done without a vet.......Tonya
