The information for the amount of water to use with Doxycycline can be found at:

http://www.avma.org/pubhlth/psittappend2.asp

There is information on how to make a medicated feed using doxycycline, how much water to mix with it, how to feed it orally, and symptoms of doxycycline toxicosis.

Hope this helps.

I recieved your response to my question and appreciate it very much. I did not get an answer however on the web page about how much food to use with the amount of Doxycycline in parakeets.I need to know how much food to use with the Mg. of medication since it does not work well in their water for them.If you could find this out for me I would be exetremely happy. I will pay you more for this answer. I will give you $10.00 instead of the $8.00 I originally said I would pay. Thank you very much for your time. The web page gave me all the info I needed except the amount of food I need to use for the amount of medication for my parakeet. Thank you, Jackie V.

Relist: I still need help.
I need help with how much seed to mix with the doxycycline for my parakeet. They do not drink enough to help them with getting their meds as needed. They are on 50mg. capsules. I have the food amount for my cockatiels but not for my parakeet. Thank you very much for your time. Sincerely, Jackie Vorwerk
