My Malamute recently had a seizure and died within 5 ...

My Malamute recently had a seizure and died within 5 minutes of the attack. As far as I know she had never had seizures before. Is this a common thing? I am at a loss for an explanation. Her legs went straight back, she shook just a little then stopped breathing. I did mouth to nose and she took a breath, cried, then took another breath then was gone.
