ACCEPTED Check Mark

Most states have a five day period where you must wait. Check with animal control or your state attorney for your states specific requirements,.Since you have him five days and done everything required of you by placing ads and contacting the humane society, you have complied with the law.
Therefore, you can consider him yours if no one steps up after your states legal limit.
I really hope no one claims him and you get to keep him because I can see you already love him and will give him a wonderful home!
Best of luck to you!
